Hi there,

I have a small team of 7 developers and I am interested to use Jira. I know that on a standard plan, I unlock the user roles and permissions.

My question is simple - does all the users have to get standard license for user roles and permissions to work for everyone, or I only need to have one account on standard license (like the team leader) and this will work for other users who are on free license?

Thanks.

Welcome @Jonathan

In order for permissions to be applicable for everyone, all users need to be on the Standard plan, otherwise it won't work.

To be clear, @Jonathan, a plan applies to your entire site. Having some users on a standard plan and some on a free plan is not possible under one and the same URL.
