Restricting issue creation for a particular Issuetype.

Hi,

Using workflow properties, I'm trying to restrict creation of an issuetype. I'm adding jira.permission.issue.create=denied. Is this correct or is there any other way of doing it?

What condition are you restricting under? If you don’t want to have the issuetype in a certain project at all then simply remove it - project settings > issue types.

Hey Jack,

I don't want to remove the issuetype as I want to maintain the records for previous JIRAs. I just want to restrict creation of such issue types for a certain time period.
