Send web request within automation to intranet hosted API

I am getting 500 error while trying to get the data from an internally hosted web api. 

As our JIRA cloud uses SSO authentication using our azure AD. 

How should i provide the authentication for getting access to the locally hosted web api

Could you please share a screenshot of your automation rule/how your send webrequest action is configured?

Furthermore how you provide authentication to your local API depends on your local API. How do you call the API outside of Jira?

Another point could be that (as this API is internally) it might deny access from outside via a firewall. This needs to be clarified with your local system admins.
