Sending email notification after updating custom field

Dear All,

Do you know if it is possible to send a defined email notification to a user when a specific custom field is modified ? For instance, there is a RAG status custom field in a project and my management wants to be notified once this field has changed, but the format of such notification was defined by them.

Is it possible to customize that ?

Hi @Rafal Sojka,

That's possible through the built-in automation. Use Field value changed as a trigger and Send email as your action.

Something like this:

Thank you Walter for showing me this feature. Unfortunately, my JIRA instance is on-premise. However, I just found a plugin called "Automation from JIRA" plugin which seems to provide same functionality and is from Atlassian.

That is essentially the same thing, @Rafal Sojka! The built-in functionality in Cloud is that same product, but there it has been integrated natively.
