Separate screen for Editting issue

Old layout has a separate screen for editting issue. Now new layout does not have that screen. Does Jira remove the edit screen? or how to get it back?

The separate lay-out is indeed gone, but the distinct screen is still there.

What your screens look like is determined in the issue lay-out now and is the same for create / edit / view operations. So no separate edit popup screen anymore.

If you still have an issue type screen scheme in your project and separate edit screens, they should still control which fields can be edited or only viewed.
