Some issues in a sprint in the backlog don't show up on the active sprints board

On one of my projects, I have a few sprints set up in the backlog. I started one of those sprints, but noticed that when I look at the active sprints board, a few of the issues that show in the backlog do not show up on the board. One of the issues is a problem ticket, the other two are stories.

I checked my columns to make sure the statuses on the cards are mapped to a column, which they are. So for instance, the status on one of the story cards is "WIP" which is mapped to show up under the "Development" column. There's another story with this status that shows up just fine, but one that doesn't.

I also made sure that the filter on the board wouldn't be excluding any of these cards and it's not. The sprints are based on the releases and they all have the correct fix version.

Anyone have any ideas on what else might be preventing some of these issues from showing up in the sprint board?

A few questions

  • In the backlog view, before you started the sprint, was the ticket visible in that sprint?
  • Does your missing ticket still have the correct sprint in its "Sprint" field
  • Can you please post the board filter here?
