Sorting after priority of tasks

Hello,

I am trying to make a dashboard for open tasks, and when trying to sort the tasks by Priority (trivial, medium, etc), the sorting does not "arrange" them properly.

I have tried using all the sorting types, but I do not want to use widgets to sort only high issues, but all of them.

This is how it looks after using ORDER BY priority ASC.

Priorities are configurable by your Jira admin; they are not standard across companies. This means that, because each company can have their own priority names, Jira can't automatically know how they should be sorted. 

This is what priority configuration looks like; you'd need to have your admin make sure that the priorities are ordered correctly, as the default when adding a new priority is to just add it to the end of the list.
