Spam through Jira?

I use Jira in my job but recently, I was added to a Jira Service Management instance with my personal email. I then received a notification that I had been tagged in a ticket in this instance. The ticket is asking me to click on a Google Doc and send money via BitCoin. Obviously I have not clicked on anything and have not tried to log into the instance.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Not sure the best way to go about reporting the spam to Atlassian, but I imagine it's something they'd want to look further into. Any assistance is appreciated!

Yes, we want to know which sites these are so that we can suspend them quickly.  Sorry to hear you received spam from one of our Cloud sites.  We have seen a recent increase in this problem.  There are a couple of ways to report these to Atlassian:

1. You can post here in community.  If you do, it helps if you can include the sender's email address (this should indicate which site sent the message).  Although it tends to be better to post to community from the account that received the email - this way Atlassian Support can lookup other sites that might have sent spam to you recently a bit easier
2. You can also forward such messages to abuse@atlassian.com This inbox is monitored for abuse reports, but please understand that we are not able to reply to any messages sent to that address.
3. Users could also create a support case to report this to Atlassian over in https://support.atlassian.com/contact However not all users have the ability to create a support ticket there to report this.  Many times free admins or end users will be redirected here to Community, which we can still use as a means to sharing this information with our abuse team.
