I followed these instructions (link below) to setup a rule to sum story points from subtasks to parent tasks. I'm at the last step creating an "edit issue" action. "Story Points" is not available under "choose field to set..." like it is in the video. Any idea why not? I'm using the free version so maybe that's the problem?
Jira automation template showing how to sum up story points (atlassian.com)
Hello @Elena Ramirez
Welcome to the community.
I tried the same instructions in a free version of Jira and I am not encountering the same problem as you.
Are you creating your automation rule for a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project?
For a Business, Software, or Service project?
Can you provide a screen image of your Automation rule and what you are seeing when you are trying to select the Story Points field to edit?
Hi Trudy,
This is a team managed project. Our project is categorized as a "software project".
I realized in the first step my screen doesn't match the video, either. I can only select "story point estimate" under "fields to monitor for changes". See first picture.
If I select "story point estimate" and keep going through copying the rule, I get to the final screen to add an action, and I get "No matching fields". See second picture.
