We have a custom field called Discovery Progress which has 8 values. We would like to set up automation rules where if the value is updated to any of 6 values then they transition the issue to in progress. If the Discovery progress field is updated to 'discovery complete' this will update the issue to done.
I know this is hacky, but it's probably a broader question of 'Can you set an automation to trigger off a specific value in a custom field?'
Hello @William Chambers
Have you tried using the "Field Value Changed" trigger for an automation rule? You can specify which field to listen for then use a condition that checks for any 6 of the 8 values you mentioned before performing any actions.
Here's some more info if you're curious, but it sounds like this is what you need.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Samuel
Yeah the only issue I have with that trigger is I can't specify the exact field value it has to change to in order to trigger the rule to change the status of the issue.

Disregard all of that, I was being an idiot and just didn't set it up correctly. If you're reading this in 2027, your hair looks great today and here is a screenshot of the rule I set up that gave me what I was looking for.
