Hello guys,
On JIRA, when we comment on an issue and not post it, it will be available on the page as an unpublished comment..
Is there anyway we could get back the same with Description field? I just lost 3 hrs of work by mistakingly clicking outside the description space :(
Any help in this space would be much appreciated.
There is no feature like that at this time and I was not able to find a feature request asking for it. I would suggest submitting it here https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

I would suggest that losing all your work by accidentally clicking outside the box is not a 'feature' it is a serious bug!

Hey @Sravani Patchipulusu I tried this and it does save unpublished description just like comments when you click on outside description box. PFB screenshot. It shows Unsaved changes flag besides Description and when you click on Add a description, you will see all your unpublished draft.

Oh!! thanks for letting me know. Yes, I gave it a try and it works for me.
The item I was working on was in the old view for JIRA, maybe that's the reason, I lost it.
Really appreciate your time.
