Our "manage sprints" permission is set to:

  • Application access (Any logged in user)

But my "Complete Sprint" button is disabled saying I dont have "manage sprints" permission for some reason.

Hello @Erik Otto

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Most often the root cause of this problem is the Filter Query used for your board. You have to have the Manage Sprint permission in all the projects that are within the scope of that filter query.

Filter queries for boards need to explicitly list the project(s) as part of the filter criteria. If they don't and some other criteria is used (i.e. issueType=Story) then Jira interprets that query to mean that ALL projects are in scope. It doesn't matter if the projects actually have issues matching the criteria. The projects might have matching issues, so they are in scope.

If you share with us the Filter Query for your board, we can point out if there is a problem with it.

This was it, there was a component of the filter not based on project. Thanks!
