JIRA cannot identify terminating status in the workflow

Kavishmx February 3, 2022

Hello ,

We are having an issue whereby the last status (terminating) is not recognised as the last step in the workflow and thus the issues are seen as unresolved.
Our reports are affected by this as well as the completion and closure of our sprints.

Can you please advise?

Thanks and regards,

kavish

1. Do you have other statuses mapped to that column? If so, are those issues seen as resolved?

2. When you view an issue in this status, is the status showing as the color green?

3. Immediately to the right of the status do you see another word and a green checkmark? That would be the value of the Resolution field.

If the status shows green (#2) but there is no green check and word to the right, that means the Resolution field is not getting set. The default behavior of the system is to include a Set Field action as a Post Function in the workflow transition, to set that field. If your status is a custom status you created, then including that post function may not have been done when the workflow transition was added. All that assumes you are working with a Company Managed project. Look at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left to see if that says "company managed" or "team managed".

Hello ,
thank you for your response.
The resolution field is a button (custom) to be added in the last screen ?
thanks ,

Can you confirm that status is in the column farthest to the right on your board?

You will need set resolution for JIRA to treat it as resolved . You do it by adding resolution field to transition screen or through post function
