Similar issue to some observed previously. None of previous answers worked.
Basic - We have a Confluence Form that submits via API to JIRA project. Submission works fine with base fields and JIRA ticket is created properly. However, we have a custom field (userEmail in images), and when trying to submit the from to include this field we get permission error (or unknown).
Previous questions like this seem to be resolved by ensuring field is on the screens (as far as I can tell) . In the images attached, it appears that this field is present where it needs to be.

Hi
Custom fields in Jira have names like customfield_XXX
You need to check the actual name for this field - not the label
This should help https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/jira-rest-api-example-discovering-meta-data-for-creating-issues-6291669/

Thanks Alex,
This has saved me a lot of time, I had no clue that there was an id different from name/label here.
For my future reference (and others maybe), in order to get the id, I just created an issue in JIRA, downloaded the XML to find the ID.
