order by priority not ordering by priority

Hi, 

I am trying to search for issues and order by priority.

ORDER BY priority DESC

but when i do they get ordered but not by priority.

The way they are ordered is:

1. "Major"
2. "Not Set"
3. "Critical"
4. "Blocker"
5. "Minor"
6. "Trivial"
7. "High"
8. "Low"

How can i order them so that they are ordered by [what i perceive to be the correct order]: 

1. "Blocker"
2. "Critical"
3. "Major"
4. "High"
5. "Low"
6. "Minor"
7. "Trivial"
8. "Not Set"

Hi @Michael Aroustian,

Can you please check the Priorities admin menu? If you're a Jira admin, you can see it here: https://your-cloud-site.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ViewPriorities.jspa

You can see that priorities are ordered with the most important one at the top and the least important one in the bottom. You can re-order priorities using arrows:
