I'm using the official Jira Cloud Excel plugin in my enterprise (I'm the end user).
I've been using the plugin for several months, but yesterday I started being unable to complete the authentication process.
Excel seems okay, I click "Get started" which launches chrome. I'm asked for the 2F pin which the plugin provides. I get as far as the permissions dialogoe in browser. Normally at this point I click "Accept" and the plugin continues from there.
But at the moment the Accept button is greyed out.
I also noticed the message "Jira Cloud for Spreadsheets cannot send data to any location".. I don't think I normally see that.
I've raised a case internally to my IT dept but wondered if anyone knew what this was - there's no information from the Atlassian site to tells me more.
I've tried:
- Clearing cookies/caches
- Restarting both browser and excel
- Trying a different browser default (Firefox).
In order for the accept button to be available, you must allow "user installed apps" in your instance. Go to Admin > Connected apps > Settings menu > and set "user installed apps" to Allowed. Hope this helps!!
Hi Kodi,
Thank you so much for your reply. do i need to make these changes in the excel or in the OS?
Regards
Dinesh

I am also facing the same problem. Do you have answers for this?

At the American Academy of Family Physicians, siloed marketing teams faced delays and duplicate work. Kerrie Gottschalk shook things up by moving the department to Jira, streamlining processes, boosting visibility, and sparking stronger collaboration.
