Hi @Haroon Hussain Welcome to Atlassian Community!
In Team Managed Project, you can’t add new workflow. But you can update/modify existing workflow.

I am so confused Vikrant.. this is a new update they have done. In the past i was about to self manage workflows and switch them in between within the project. I wanted to assign a new workflow and add multipal boards within the same project.. does that mean i cannot do that no more ?

wow Jira has changed their projects and how it used to work.
So what has changed:
In the past you could create one classic project and add multiple boards like dev board. epics board e.g and self manage. and you cannot do that.
the only way to add multiple project boards is by using the company managed project.. which means all teams will have the same workflow no longer can use their own.

It's not changed, they added "next-gen" projects a few years back, and they're now called "team-managed projects".
They work very differently from company-managed projects. But company-managed projects have not changed. They're still there, they still use schemes (workflows, permissions, shared fields and so on) as they did when you were using Jira Server/DC or a much older version of Cloud.

No, that's not true.
Yes you can create multiple project boards. But you can create ones that look at many projects, including both company and team-managed projects. The workflows are, in both types, configurable by issue type, so the teams can still use whatever flows they need. You just need to take account of the different workflows when defining your board.

Hi Haroon - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Two things:
1. If this is a Jira Work Management/Business project then you can’t add more workflows as Vikrank said.
2. If it is a Jira Software project, then follow the steps from Mayur.

Hey @Haroon Hussain - here is a link to a recent article I wrote guiding you on how to create a second board for these types of projects.

Hi @Haroon Hussain ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!
If i understood correctly you mean team managed project ?? if yes every team managed project has it' own unique workflow, you won't be able to share the project across project.
How to edit or create workflow in team managed project:
To create or edit an additional workflow:
From your project's sidebar, select Project settings > Issue types.
Select the issue type > Edit workflow.
Adjust the workflow as needed.
To save your changes, select Update workflow.
From the dropdown, deselect lozenges to specify which issue types the workflow will apply to.
Select Save.
For more details you may please have look at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-work-management/docs/how-to-create-workflows-for-team-managed-projects/
Hope this information helps!!
Cheers,
Mayur
