When I update the URL of the product, the old URL is still redirecting to the new one.
I wonder how long does it take for the old URL to be released so I can reuse it as the site for a different organization?
You should reach out to Atlassian support to release. I don't think there is a definitive term but they can answer.

I have the same question, I would love to know if there is a defined time limit when the old URL will be active.

@Oliver CENTENO did you receive an answer from support?
@Tadeu Cunha , what is the reason for needing this info? I am simply curious.

We used to be just one company, and the Atlassian name was related to our company name.
Now our company belongs to a group, and JIRA will be used for all brands, so we need to change the Atlassian name to the group name, but preserve the old one, as it is also one of our companies

@Tadeu Cunha first of all expect that you have to raise a ticket to Atlassian Support.
Their first answer was that it will get disabled 1 month after the removal of the product.
What I needed was to move the URL from one organisation to another.
At first they discouraged it for the implications of such change. But after reassuring that I accepted the risk it was done in 3 days.
Hope this helps

@Tadeu Cunha in your case I think you just need to rename the organisation URLs.
You can do that a maximum of 3 times and it keeps both URLs

OK, I understand that it keeps both URLs forever, that is what I needed to know, thanks!
