Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I'm using the "Jira Cloud for Sheets" extension and noticed an odd discrepancy between how the hours tracked are being added up.
When I pull a list of issues from a project, the time tracked displays includes the time for the story itself AND the subtasks, so if the defects are pulled too, then it is double-dipping on the time.
However, a co-worker is using the same extension on the same project and on his the parent card only displays the time tracked to the parent card itself, not the subtasks.
For example, if a card (in actuality) had 8 hours tracked to the parent and 2 hours tracked as a defect, it looks like this for me:
For my coworker, it displays like this:
We cannot figure out why they are pulling the data differently, but are guessing there is some setting somewhere that we are missing. Where is this configured at?
I figured it out. I was pulling the "Sum of Time Spent", whereas my coworker was just using the "Time Spent"
