Test ID not available to map in xray test case importer

Have followed instructions for using Test Case importer but when I get to step to map fields on CSV file import Test ID is not available as a field to map to. It states in the instructions that this is a mandatory field but I am able to progress without importing this. Has this changed?

Are you importing into a project that has Xray Test case configured?

If not, then it is necessary to add the Xray Test case into your project so that the Test ID is available in the import for the same project.
