This is not available out of the box.
Something you can consider is using automation to calculate the number of comments and inserting them into a number field.

You can also add in additional conditions for when a comment is deleted instead.
However, you will have to take your product plan into consideration as there are limits to the number of automation that you can execute on a monthly basis.
