HI.
Im familiar with automation, but now when i try to assign an issue to a person i'm not able to finish the action on the automation configurator because the screens goes blank and is not possible to save the change.
Here's how the rule looks like
Now i will select an usser to be assigned to this subtask
After picking up the user, screen keeps blank, nothing happens
Tried Chrome and Firefox with the same results.
Also rules that were working and assigning automatically now i'm not able to edit them bacause screen goes blank and not able to save it
Any idea?
I saw this happen yesterday in our environment.
I tried just now, and it's working fine again - is it still an issue for you now?
If it is, I'd raise a support ticket: https://support.atlassian.com/

Hi Jose - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Have you tried refreshing the list of rules first? Sometimes it times out and is not obvious.
So, refresh the page, then make a simple change and see if you can save it. Maybe something other than the Assignee. If that doesn't work, you should submit a support ticket to Atlassian.
If that works, come back with the Assignee change and see if that then works.
If the Assignee doesn't work again, then check the project to make sure that the proper permissions are in place, including Assignable user.

my user list will not even load for me to select it - this issue started yesterday for me...

@senthilkumar.kesavan I am having the same issue. Did you get a response to your support ticket? Cannot find any globally reported issue online

Issue I have faced due to Project Access was set as limited and I was not added to Project. Upon adding me as Project Admin in the board, I am able to select the specific user for assignee field in automation. Please check your board access.

Yes thank you! I checked the project permissions before but did not consider that I need to be added myself to the project with 'Assign Permission' to be able to select assignees when configuring the automation rules. The people I wanted to assign were there but I lacked the permission to assign them.

Glad it is the same issue and you are able to fix it. You are not alone I was also under same impression that Jira admin can do override in any project and I only made sure required Assignee was in the board or not. Also I am thinking if we change the owner of the automation rule and not adding ourselves it should work (I have not tested as there is no restriction to add me in the board).
