Field type not Matching

Neil Kugelman

The field type for a field is not matching in a projects Issue Type and in Settings->Issues->Custom Fields.

I think this is causing funky behavior when I try to insert field contents in an automaton, 'send email'. (I cant get the field contents to display.)

See attached screen shots.

For the field "Menu Item", the field type is check box in the Issue Type but in Jira Settings the same field is showing as Text Field (single line).

How can I have both be Check Box?

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil,

It looks like your project is a Team-managed one. Those are completely independent and do not share the custom fields that you show in your first image. So, it is indeed a different field. You need to delete the field in the project and create it again for the right type.

OK. Thanks.
