priority in sub-task summary

I would like to have priority for the sub-tasks shown in the one line preview pain on the parent story. I saw this referenced on https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/32506145 but it didn't actually say how to do it for the software version. I know you can reorder the ranking but it's also nice to see what priority the sub-tasks are without having to go back to the scrum board or drill all the way into it.

I have the standard version of JIRA. I found it though. I had to search admin for advanced settings. Once there I was able to find the  jira.table.cols.subtasks and added 'priority' to the string. Thanks

What does it mean "but it didn't actually say how to do it for the software version"? Does it mean that you are working in JIRA cloud instance?
