It seems you tried to perform illegal workflow operation related to STARC custom field

Hello,

There is an custom field called Send to STARC in jira.There are options to this custom field as yes and no. We have made use of some post functions in work flow to automatically make it as Yes. But it is throwing an error saying "It seems you tried to perform illegally workflow operation". Contact jira administrator for this it is popping up. Can anybody explain what could be wrong with this issue.

Hi @Aravind Koushik Gobburu ,

usually that message appears when there's an error in post function. 

Please could you specify if that post function is developed internally or it is a post function provided by a third part app?

Without that information we can't support you on that.
