As we will be running 200+ projects, I'd like to store a project attributes page (contacts, names, other information) associated with the project, and be able to view those attributes in each issue rasied for that project.
Projectrack would have been absolutely perfect if Projectrak fields could still be mapped into Jira Custom fields. Their Project Data page would hold the fields and values were entered directly into that page. Then mapped to JIRA custom fields shown in issues.
Is there anything similar available? Everything I've found and every add-on I've tried has been extremely complex.
Thanks
Hi @erin.moore and welcome to the Community!
To be honest, I am not sure what your use case behind this scenario would be, as I cannot see the value of repeating (the same) project related information on each and every single issue you create in Jira. That seems like a massive ton of overhead.
Why e.g. not create a Confluence page with the key data for a project (or across projects if that is a better fit) for users to find the key details?
Or - if there is certain information that you do want to repeat on all issues - set up an automation rule in each project that fills out the (minimum amount of) required information each time a ticket gets created? From what you describe, I assume the number of fields and the content you want to fill out are fixed and linked to each specific project, so that should work.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Walter. As 2 people are managing so many projects, it's to ensure due diligence when actions are being taken.
I have just come across an Elements app that will allow issues to be created with default values. Otherwise, I will try your automation rule.
Thanks so much for the quick response!

Hi Erin,
I'm Laura Barreales, product designer of Projectrak, we are working on cloud on some of the options that map issues gives on Data Center.
I would like to explain to you what are we building and see if that could help and what we can do better.
Would you mind opening a ticket and then we can speak? https://jira.deiser.com/plugins/servlet/desk/portal/1/create/213
Thanks so much
